There are plenty of styles of homes to choose from. Here in the Valley we have a wide range, depending on what area you are in. In order of typical price range, they are:
Mobile:
A non permanent residence can be alone on property or in a mobile home park. Price ranges depending on how new the mobile is and the location. Mobile home parks require a monthly pad fee.
Condominium:
Strata fees will apply to these apartment style units. They range in price depending on quality and location. Some feature underground parking facilities, some are above ground.
Townhouse:
Usually a multi-level structure, each unit has its own parking and usually a yard in the back. Townhouse complexes have a monthly strata fee that includes yard maintenance among other services such as garbage pick up. A strata council can make and change rules, each unit is entitled to one vote.
Patio Home:
A one level version of a townhouse. These are very popular with people who want their independence, with no one living above them, but don't want to deal with stairs. Monthly fees do apply.
Duplex:
Can be one or more levels. Typically strata fees do not apply. Each unit is responsible for their own maintenance.
Single Family:
This is your average residential home. Everyone is responsible for their own maintenance.
Farms/Acreage:
Usually have a single family home, and often have outbuildings or other features such as riding rings, etc.
